these booties are my rebellion against the long and oppressive hell that is summer in texas. they're just enough of a reminder that this season will eventually end, and one day it be will be cool enough to wear leather boots, layer, accessorize and feel pretty once again. i bought this dress with the intention of wearing it through the bitter end of summer, and well into the fall. i'll call it my transition dress, even if that transition probably only includes a few degrees of cooler temperatures. the accessories can change as the weather changes. a scarf at 75 degrees, some taller boots at 65 degrees, and maybe even a leather jacket 60! but let's be honest... that'll be in january at this rate...
i met a nice new friend during our photo session this time. he stopped his car in the middle of the street to run out and snap some shots with me, so i promised that he would make the blog. beard and beanie-cap on sir!
